Manusika Rai is a Pharmacist with a postgraduate degree in pharmaceutical sciences. Her 17-years professional career encompasses expertise in procurement and supply chain management, pharmaceutical quality assurance and regulatory affairs. She has experience working in the public sector whilst managing and overseeing the drug procurement unit for the Ministry of Health in Bhutan. As an independent Local Fund Agent (LFA) PSM expert, she carried out assessments in Global Fund grant-recipient countries such as Nepal, Namibia and Timor-Leste. At i+solutions, she has been involved in numerous projects providing technical assistance and capacity building services to improve supply chain systems across all public health priority areas in low and middle-income countries. Currently she is leading the newly formed Market Research Unit responsible for conducting studies to generate evidence on market barriers impeding access to medicines.

She served as Lead expert for development and implementation of a monitoring & supervision framework for state logistics management coordination units, Nigeria Supply Chain Integration Project, funded by Global Fund (2015-17).
